give people something to smile about

Growing up, I often heard people lament about how hard things become for them during the yuletide and into the new year. In my heart, I promised myself that whenever I grow to have an opportunity of doing something for them, I would definitely try to help.

This December, I reached out to members of my online community at TON Mansion , which is the community arm of the parent platform,
Tales Of Nigerians. Together, we made donations and raised money to provide aid for 50 families this yuletide.

These pictures contain 50 TON branded envelopes with cash inside each of them for the 50 families.

The beneficiaries can decide to use the money to buy rice, food ingredients, support their house rent or children’s school fees in the new year.

Running the TON platform has opened my eyes to so many pains of the common folk in our society. These are the people whose stories spurred me to do this.

I am one person. I can’t do much on my own. But the much I can do, backed up by kind individuals who share similar dreams, I know we can do something.

I still believe in the goodness of our people. I have been a recipient of this goodness at different times in the past. And this is why I want to keep spreading this good news of humanity.

The 50 beneficiaries will be picked starting tomorrow as my team go about producing interviews for the TON platform. Once we are done distributing the funds, I shall share a post with some pictorial highlights.

To everyone who reached out and donated, may God bless you richly. Because of you, 50 families will be happy and smile into the new year. Thank you for blessing them through your own blessings.

I believe the Tales of Nigerians brand is more than just a media outfit. I see humanity coming to life again. I see a lot of good things happening for our people. I pray for the mental strength to hold on, while these plans unveil.

On a lighter note, who will host me in their village this Christmas? I am officially open to travel to a thousand and one places for massage.

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
